Our Story

Stolen Wear began as a childhood dream. Back in 4th grade, sitting at recess, I heard about a man in Wichita who drove an El Camino so fast he had “STOLEN” on the license plate. I told myself that one day, if I ever had a car or truck worth showing off, I would carry that same bold spirit.
Fast forward to 1999. My dad owned an ’86 GMC short bed that I thought was the coolest thing on four wheels. After it was wrecked, I helped him rebuild it piece by piece. When he mentioned selling it, I could not let it go. I bought it, and the first time I drove it into town, my friends swore I had not bought it at all. They teased me that I must have “stolen” it from my dad. That joke took me right back to that playground conversation, so I ordered a tag that read STOLEN. The truck became known as “the stolen truck,” and the story became part of me.

Years later, long after both my dad and that truck were gone, I wanted to keep Stolen alive. Not just as a memory, but as a way to honor him and share the story with others.
This brand is also shaped by my wife. She is a gifted artist who grew up with a childhood that we often call a “stolen childhood.” Through art and healing, she turned her pain into beauty. Her strength and creativity continue to inspire what Stolen Wear stands for today.
Stolen Wear is about more than clothes. It is about holding onto the things that shape us, honoring family, carrying memories forward, and turning struggle into strength. Every piece tells a story, and those stories are worth wearing.
